Overview
The True Catalyst 9X3 Stick is the pinnacle of mid-kick performance and weight. At a ridiculous 357 grams (85 flex), it still brings that signature powerful shot release, accuracy and control that other super-light sticks tend to lose at this threshold.
When compared to the previous Catalyst PX, the 9X3 is 13 grams lighter with an even better blade feel and longevity thanks to the new Quad Rib System (QRS) and Innovative Foam Core. The quadruple rib structure utilizes strategic placements such as key puck impact areas that create the stability needed for the big, powerful shots. The Innovative Foam Core uses a brand new material that better forms inside the blade during the construction process, thus reducing weight and increasing strength all while shedding weight and offering a dampened puck feel.
While the blade is the biggest upgrade from years past, the industry-leading ResFlo Resin, Precision Laminate Design (PLD) and Axenic true one-piece construction features are a must to talk about. The PLD is a finely tuned ultra-thin carbon layering process along with the premier ResFlo resin (or glue) creates one of the best-performing material bases in the game. The Axenic technology then utilizes a true one-piece construction process that results in a truly dialed-in, consistent and ready-to-fire 9X3 that will be sure to wreak havoc on goalies everywhere.

GENERAL STICK FLEX AND SIZING RECOMMENDATION | |
---|---|
We recommend choosing the hockey stick flex that puts your specific height and weight at the middlemost point in both categories. A common rule of thumb is to select a flex rating by dividing your body weight in two and subtracting another 10-15 flex points. See the flex chart and articles below for more detailed information on sizing and selecting hockey sticks. |
