Best Aggressive Street Skates
Our Inline Warehouse staff has chosen the best aggressive/street skates for 2024
based on comfort, ease, and value. We've thrown in a couple of staff favorites as well.

Comfort: 9/10
USD has a great way of making high-quality products affordable and a part of their standard. Even in their lower-end team Sway Skates, the USD Basit Dual-Fit Liners that come inside of them feel premium with a neoprene toe and an ample amount of well-articulated padding. The pro-models have even nicer liners that are now becoming more and more personalized by the pro-rider with some residuals going straight to the skater. Making them limited edition, more desirable and they are all heat-moldable.
Ease: 9/10
The Sway’s have a very forgiving shell that allows you to get in and out of them a bit easier. There are also a few options for closures with many having a velcro 45-degree strap and some just the adjustable cuff straps. Underneath the soul plates have a large grinding surface and the Kizer Fluid V frames have a nice hook to their central grinding area but the Kizer Fluid IV Frames (that come on the USD Sway 58 XXIV skates) have an even deeper groove and anti-rockered setup out of the box. Either way the frames are strong and slippery with injection molded glass fiber reinforced plastic.
Value: 10/10
USD definitely did not cheap out on these skates and it’s one of the reasons why we love them so much! They were originally just supposed to set a new standard as an entry-level aggressive skate. As more skaters and the pro’s on their team enjoyed them so much, they decided to put a bit more effort into them. There is no part of the skate that is low in quality, other than potentially the Velcro strap, however, it makes them easier to get on and off and it’s easy to replace.
Best Performance
Them 909 Skates (with Intuition Liners)
Comfort: 9/10
Intuition Liners are some of the best liners on the market, and they just so happen to fit into the Them 909 shell perfectly. The 909’s also come in new sizing which filled their size gaps, which only makes the liners even more responsive.
Ease: 8/10
Them kept it simple on their closure system with only one adjustable cuff buckle and standard lacing that feels great but with the Intuition liners there is just a bit more lacing that hugs onto your ankles. Is it easy to get in and out of? Not especially difficult but no, not particularly easy. Does it make the sense of control better? Absolutely! This is a favorite skate for many core skaters because of how reactive and great they feel on grinds. They have a sturdy and well-designed frame and a fair amount of soul-space.
Value: 6.5/10
We understand how the price tag might seem a bit scary on the BACETHEM. We agree! But you also have to consider that Intuition Liners cost $220.00 on their own. So when you purchase a complete skate with Intuition Liners you can cheat and imagine how much that skate would have been if with different liners. As much as we like the Intuition Liners and believe them to be worth the money, we also think the pricing is a bit high on the BACETHEM 909. The argument of price could be had on all Them Skates, as they are priced on the higher side. Them is 'small' compared to many other brands, and is not able to perform large production runs that may bring costs down. So some leeway is deserved, but damn! The price puts the skate out of reach for many which is a bummer. But they feel and perform very well, with nice elements that include form-fitted Intution Liners, metal cuff buckles, cool cuff bolts, and nice wheels and frames.
