Universal Bag Concept

The Universal Bag Concept (UBC) was developed by Powerslide to provide sport enthusiasts an easy-to-use, efficient, and customizable transportation system for gear and personal belongings. By combining elements of luggage and gear carriers, UBC Bags are able to offer the advantages of both – volume, organization, durability, and functionality – and thereby provide more utility to skaters and other athletes on the go.

The highlight of the Universal Bag Concept is the customization offered through a standardized system of clips and buckles that allow an array of smaller auxiliary bags to be quickly snapped on and off of the larger base bags. In this way, every athlete can customize their UBC experience and benefit from choosing what they want to carry and how they want to carry it!

The Universal Bag Concept begins with a selection of base bags that includes trolleys and backpacks of varying capacities. The largest of the base bags, the Expedition Trolley, is a legitimate piece of luggage for sportspersons on long trips or with a lot of gear. The Transit Trolley is sized to fit in airline overhead bins and is ideal for the weekend warrior traveling for a few days at a time. High-volume Road Runner Backpacks have a roll top closure on its massive main compartment while the Commuter Backpacks make up for less capacity by providing more compartments and pockets for organization.

If the base bags are the meat of the UBC sandwich, then the auxiliary bags are the toppings that make each one unique (and delicious). These add-ons function perfectly as standalone accessory bags, especially if outfitted with a UBC Carry Strap, but they really shine when paired with a larger base bag. Mix, match, and attach whichever accessories suit your needs and travel plans!
